An exceptional socialist realist wood relief depicting the construction of Nowa Huta.
Author - Władysław Górka, born in 1919 in Poręba Wielka near Limanowa. He graduated from the wood industry school in Zakopane. He has been sculpting since childhood. His sculptures feature figures of saints and characteristic rural types. He does not polychrome his sculptures. He exhibited in student clubs in Krakow. The largest collection is held by the Regional Museum in Myślenice.
