Postcard Breslau Wrocław museum Kaiser Friedrich Denkmal Feldpost 1916 -SOLD

The postcard shows the now defunct Frederick III Monument in Wrocław (Breslau). The equestrian monument was located in front of the building of the Silesian Museum of Fine Arts and commemorated Emperor Frederick III Hohenzollern.

The monument was erected in 1902.
It stood in the eastern part of Wolności Square.
The building in front of which the monument stood was one of the most important museums in Wrocław until the 1930s.
The statue was removed in 1945.
